Winter Wonders

Despite the wet & the cold there are wonderful gems in the garden at this time of year.  Think citrus, citrus, citrus.  Oranges, lemons, limes, cumquats, mandarines are in abundance & lemon curd, preserved lemons, lemon & orange cakes, pickled cumquats, are some of the delicious results.  Winter vegetables are also doing well despite the wet & soggy conditions.  Great for thick winter soups on dark cold days.

There are lots of things that can be planted now, so look at the Autumn-Winter guide on the Organic Gardener's full list of what to plant in Sydney at this time of year.

Keep safe & keep gardening!
