Welcome

At the Turramurra Community Garden we grow fresh, organic fruit & vegetables, socialise with like minded people & learn about gardening & sustainable living.

Explore the TLC garden at any time & see what we're growing.  Come on a Saturday morning between 9am & 12noon to talk to our members.  That's when we have our regular working bees.  All welcome.

Winter

The cold has really set in now so working in the garden is an excellent way to warm up.     Freshen the soil with compost & manure, & it you haven't already planted winter crops, get them in soon.

Have a look at the guide from Gardenate on what to plant in Sydney at this time of year.  Some of the more popular vegetables are broccoli, cabbages, carrots, onions, leeks & leafy greens.  It's a good time to grow coriander which usually bolts to seed in summer.  Enjoy the produce in hearty soups & warming casseroles & stews.

Autumn leaves are in abundance so top up the compost heap ready for spring.

We're propagating for our

Spring Open Day on Saturday 7th of September.

Put it in your diary now.
